Fast Morning Run!
Most days I have early morning meetings. In September, this becomes a problem for my running. There is not enough light in the morning, but the high temperatures are still prohibitive (>90F).
Today, I got out with less than 40 minutes before the meeting started. I could not go earlier (no running in the dark), and I did not want to run less than 4 miles, so the only variable I could control was the speed. I was trying to run faster than I normally do.
The morning was cool, so running faster was OK. I could feel that I was faster. My HR was in the upper range of yellow, or even red, but I felt fine, so I kept going. When I finished, I could not believe that I had run the whole 4 miles under 9mm. This is something I have not achieved since before my knee surgery.
Let's go!
